Children's Book Week In-Flight Program (Schools Only)

Children’s Book Week is run by the Children’s Book Council of Australia and celebrated each year in mid to late August. Book Week is the longest running children's festival in Australia, celebrating its 77 year, in 2022. Each year, schools, and public libraries from all over Australia spend a week celebrating books, Australian authors, and illustrators.

This year the Hinchinbrook Shire Library will be visiting local primary schools from Monday 22 August to Wednesday 24 August 2022, delivering fun-filled Book Week sessions. The duration of the sessions is 45 minutes and will feature the short-listed books.

Teachers are invited to book classes in their preferred session times as per the attached schedule. Note: Each session is located at selected host school. Please include class level, size, and the teacher in your application.
